County Sligo Golf Club in Rosses Point is a true Atlantic links, shaped by wind, water and natural elevation changes. The course offers a demanding championship test, with burns and water features influencing several greens and landing areas, while the prevailing wind adds to the challenge from the tee. Its Colt Championship Links gives the fairways a deceptively open look, but accuracy and smart course management are essential throughout.
The club has 27 holes in total, combining 18 holes of Colt Championship Links with the 9-hole Bomore Links. The closing stretch from holes 14 to 17, running right beside the Atlantic Ocean, is one of the most memorable parts of the round and underlines the course’s strong seaside character.
