Donegal Golf Club, Murvagh Lower, Laghey, Co. Donegal, Ierland
Donegal Golf Club is a classic links course on the Murvagh peninsula in South Donegal, reaching out into the Atlantic Ocean. Set across 182 acres, the par-73 layout plays to more than 7,400 yards and offers five par 5s, four par 3s and nine par 4s, with five regulation tees on each hole plus a beginner tee. The outer loop follows the dunes and shoreline for sweeping sea views, while the inner loop is more sheltered, creating a varied round shaped by a constantly changing breeze. Originally designed by Eddie Hackett and later reshaped by Pat Ruddy, the course reflects a club history that began in 1960. Players also have access to a full practice set-up, including a driving range and areas for warming up, putting, chipping and bunker practice, along with lessons from the club’s PGA Professional.
