About this course:
Castlerock Golf Club is a links golf course on Northern Ireland’s North Coast, set among dramatic dunes with a blend of sea-facing holes and more inland stretches that recall classic Scottish links. The championship 18-hole Mussenden Course offers a true test of links golf, with greens that can repel a poor approach and a layout that was significantly improved during the winter 2017/18 reconstruction under architect Dr Martin Hawtree, which changed six holes.
Golfers can also play the 9-hole Bann Course, a testing and enjoyable layout with wide views over the River Bann and toward Donegal. Standout holes such as the par-3 fourth, the “Leg O Mutton,” add pressure from the tee, while missed fairways can be punished by thick rough. The clubhouse provides a relaxed finish, and there is also a short game and practice area.
