About this course:
Valley Links at Royal Portrush is a full-length, 18-hole championship course set on striking natural seaside turf. The layout winds through the sheltered War Hollow, a dramatic landscape associated with an ancient battle believed to date back to around 1102. It is a demanding test of accuracy, with natural hazards for low-handicap golfers, small and cleverly placed greens, and approach play that often proves decisive.
Several holes stand out for their strategic demands, including openings that call for a precisely judged drive over a ridge. Across the round, the course moves through narrow valleys and between sand hills, while bunkers and surrounding trouble guard many greens. Valley Links also carries a strong tournament pedigree, serving each year as one of the two qualifying rounds for the North of Ireland Open Championship.
