The Wynding, NE69 7DE Bamburgh
Bamburgh Castle Golf Club is a traditional coastal links course on the North English coast, featuring a distinct character and beautiful views of Lindisfarne, the Farne Islands, the Cheviots, and Bamburgh Castle. Founded in 1904 by Lord Armstrong and designed by George Rochester in a natural style, the course is short but challenging: it starts with two par 3s followed by two par 5s, with six par 3s in total. This variety makes each hole tactical and exciting. The finishing holes offer a thrilling conclusion where birdies are possible but mistakes are quickly punished. Bamburgh Castle Golf Club appeals to golfers who enjoy links golf, landscape, and history in one round.
