YO32 5XF Strensall
York Golf Club is a historic 18-hole par 70 course designed by J.H. Taylor in 1904. Located five miles north of York city center, it blends parkland and heathland features on Lords Moor Farm near Strensall Common. Subtle contours and deceptive slopes shape play, with water hazards and strategic bunkers adding challenge. The course's character shines at the 7th hole, a striking par 3 over water with danger on both sides and a sharply sloping green. Set in 60 acres of Yorkshire countryside, the round offers a peaceful atmosphere, with the clubhouse overlooking holes 1 and 18. Practice facilities include a driving range with covered bays, an all-weather Huxley tee area, a putting green, and a short game area.
