Whitley Bay Golf Club is in northeast England near the Northumberland Coastline, featuring a varied 18-hole course blending parkland and heathland. The rolling terrain and subtly shaped greens create a pleasant rhythm, with hole variety and fine contours providing a solid challenge. The course suits golfers of various levels but demands precise play. Founded in 1890, the 18-hole expansion was planned by Open Champion Ted Ray in 1912. Notably, hole 12, the signature double-dogleg par 5, is one of the region's toughest challenges. The club's history includes legends like Harry Vardon, Seve Ballesteros, Nick Faldo, Lee Trevino, and Greg Norman, and hosted the 1977 Callers International Open.
