McCraes' Brae, BT38 9NZ
Whitehead Golf Club in Islandmagee is an 18-hole par 72 course beautifully located on the coast with views over Belfast Lough and the Irish Sea. The course combines hilly terrain with varied playing character. The 'top nine' runs along the Antrim coast, where wind plays a key role in club selection, while the 'bottom nine' evokes a classic parkland feel with trees lining the fairways and distinctive elevation changes that shape the play. Established in 1904, the club grew from a modest 9-hole course to the current Brian Armstrong design. The warm atmosphere and club life add extra character to a round, with space to relax and chat in the clubhouse afterwards.
