The Refuge Golf Course

About this course:

The Refuge Golf Course is an 18-hole course cut from 200 acres of wetlands with lakes and creeks as a beautiful backdrop. The course features generous tees, rolling hills, and wide fairways, with holes leading to gently undulating greens with smooth, even putting surfaces. In 2021, The Refuge was renovated under golf course architect Nathan Crace (ASGCA), with a more playable layout, three new holes, and returning nines. Playing quality was upgraded with TifEagle hybrid bermudagrass greens, renovated bunkers, and improved irrigation. The Longleaf Tee System strategically expanded tee compounds, with distances from 4,439 to 7,013 yards and various attack angles for golfers of all levels. Practice beforehand on the signature water driving range with multiple grass tee stations and a putting green area; PGA professionals offer private lessons and clinics. Since reopening, the course earned Runner-Up in Golf Inc.'s Renovation of the Year and a spot in Golfer’s Choice.
