About this course:
The Loop: Black at Forest Dunes is a distinctive reversible course designed by Tom Doak. Played clockwise, the Black routing starts from the left of the 18th green and finishes back at the 18th, with changing flag positions that keep every round fresh. Built on the same ground as the Red course, it is played over firm, fast turf that rewards crisp ball-striking and creative ground play.
Strategic holes define the experience, from the long par-4 3rd to the short par-3 8th, where front greenside bunkers come into play. The long 14th is another stern test, with short grass left of the green making the third shot especially exacting. Doak’s reversible concept gives The Loop: Black a curious, maze-like character that appeals to golfers who enjoy thinking their way around the course.
