The Country Club of Virginia - Westhampton is a classic golf course within a club featuring three 18-hole courses on two campuses. Established in 1910 and originally designed by Herbert Barker, Donald Ross further shaped its character in 1920. Nicknamed the “Goat Course” due to its hilly terrain, the fairways gently wind through majestic pine and oak forests, and the small, sloping greens demand precise short game skills. The atmosphere is traditional and family-oriented, while the course offers a solid challenge for golfers of all levels. In 2005, Ross features were restored by Lester George and practice facilities improved. Westhampton annually hosts the Senior Open of Virginia.
