Templenewsam Road, LS15 0LN West Yorkshire
Temple Newsam Golf Course is a classic parkland course designed by Dr. Alistair MacKenzie. Founded in 1923, the first course opened on July 20 that year. Today, you play on a layout with two loops of nine holes: the Lady Dorothy nine and the Lord Irwin nine. For 18 holes, you play both loops consecutively, while for nine holes, you choose one loop. With a par of 70 from the White tees, Temple Newsam offers a playful yet challenging character for golfers of various levels. The course is known for its warm, traditional club atmosphere and long history in Leeds, with a clubhouse reflecting that historic feel.
