Stowmarket Golf Club in Finborough Park is a tranquil Suffolk parkland course rich in wildlife and scenic views. Founded in 1902, it has been at this location since 1962. The 18-hole par 69 course measures about 6,108 yards from the whites. Developed in the 1960s with influences from Hawtree and Charles Grayston, six new greens were added later. This parkland layout demands accuracy and good ball placement, with strategic challenges on the par 3s and the notable par 4 17th. The club offers excellent practice facilities, a grass driving area, and a welcoming atmosphere with a patio, bar, and menu. Stowmarket has hosted events like the County Men’s and Ladies Amateur Championships, Suffolk Junior Championships, 2019 County Amateur Championships, and the 2021 England Golf Captains’ Tournament.
