About this course:
Southern Pines Golf Club is a historic Donald Ross course near Pinehurst in North Carolina’s Sandhills. The 18-hole layout, measuring around 6,500 yards, winds over knolls and ridges beneath longleaf pines, with dramatic terrain that highlights the natural landscape and Ross’s strategic design. Opened with nine holes in 1906 and expanded to 18 holes in 1912, it has long been part of the area’s golfing heritage.
Following a 2021 restoration by Kyle Franz, the course combines classic character with improved playability through rebuilt greens, bunkers and cart paths, along with wider fairways and refined rough around the greens. Southern Pines Golf Club offers a relaxed round for members, guests and the public throughout the year.
