Royal Belfast Golf Club is Ireland’s oldest golf club, founded in 1881 and proudly يحمل the Royal designation. This 18-hole parkland course, designed by Harry Colt, stretches to 6,309 yards and asks for precision rather than raw power. Strategically placed bunkers, subtly contoured greens and lightning-fast putting surfaces create a classic test, while several par-4s and longer par 3s bring added angles and elevation changes into play. The setting alongside Belfast Lough gives the layout a strong sense of place. The experience is completed by a magnificent Victorian clubhouse, originally built in 1852 and named Clubhouse of the Year in 2024. Players can also make use of two dedicated putting greens and a short iron practice range. Royal Belfast’s tournament pedigree includes The Open in 2019, with its return in 2025 further underlining the club’s place in golf history.
