Robert A. Black Golf Course is a 9-hole, par 36 course in Chicago, dating back to 1896 as a private five-hole predecessor, Edgewater Golf Club. It moved to its current site in 1910 and was redeveloped in the 1970s into the open parkland played today. Designed by Killian & Nugent, it features varied play with raised tees and greens plus sand bunkers adding character. With four par 3s, it offers variety for precise approach shots. Amenities include a putting green, club rentals, and limited catering with drinks and snacks. Certified as an Audubon International Cooperative Sanctuary.
