About this course:
Hollinwell, linked to Notts Golf Club, lies in the gently rolling hills of North Nottinghamshire and is a fine example of heathland golf in the UK and Ireland. The course winds through Kirkby Forest, with fairways along wooded slopes alternating with heather, fern, and gorse valleys. On the free-draining sandstone, you can play almost year-round on dry, firm, and fast-rolling greens. The club was founded in 1887 and received a new 18-hole layout by Willie Park Junior in 1901. Hollinwell is a strong inland challenge with par 72, SSS 76 from the Championship tees, and a length of 7250 yards. Additionally, the course is an Open Championship Final Qualifying venue and has hosted the Brabazon Trophy for the sixth time.
