Morganton Road 1600, 28374 Pinehurst
Country Club of North Carolina – Cardinal is a challenging golf course within The Country Club of North Carolina, designed by Willard Byrd and Robert Trent Jones. The course winds over rolling hills through longleaf pine forests and along scenic lakes, making precise play and good positioning quickly important. With hybrid tees and 10 sets of USGA-rated tees, Cardinal also offers much variation in playing distance, giving golfers different options during their round. Since the club complex opened in 1963, CCNC has built a strong championship reputation. The club was associated with the U.S. Junior Amateur in 2021 and earlier national youth and amateur competitions. The club experience around the course is also recognizable, with facilities such as Halfway House Two between the 9th green and the 10th tee.
