About this course:
Payne’s Valley at Big Cedar Lodge is a 19-hole championship course in the Missouri Ozarks, designed by TGR Design in collaboration with Johnny Morris and the Payne Stewart Family. Named in tribute to Payne Stewart, it makes striking use of the surrounding landscape, with Ozark mountain views, dramatic elevation changes, and a mix of water, creeks, lakes, and bunkers shaping the round. Long par 4s and par 5s, together with demanding par 3s, reward smart course management and precise shot-making across the rolling terrain.
The experience is complemented by the Ozarks National Practice Facility, with two putting greens, a three-green short game area with sand bunkers, and a driving range, as well as the Tom Watson Putting Course with nine challenge holes. In 2021, Payne’s Valley was named Best New Public Golf Course in America by Golf Digest.
