About this course:
Ashton & Lea Golf Club is an 18-hole par 71 course with 6359 yards from white tees, 6112 from yellow, and 5508 from ladies tees. The course is relatively flat but requires thoughtful course management: plan shots well and choose wisely per hole. Notable are three challenging par-3s, including the picturesque 6th, where a short shot can land in the ditch and a long one is out of bounds. Water features prominently on seven holes of the back nine. The small, tricky greens complete the challenge, while the short par-4 13th offers an interesting choice between attacking over the waterline or wisely laying up to the bowl-shaped green. The club dates from 1908, originally Ashton Golf Club, and offers good practice facilities including a TopTracer Driving Range, short game area, putting green/studio, with coaching via the Gary Edge School of Golf.
