About this course:

Ashburnham Golf Club is a traditional championship links course in South Wales, near Burry Port, overlooking the Lougher Estuary towards the Gower Peninsula. The 18 holes offer a classic out-and-back experience: the front nine often play against the prevailing wind, while the back nine usually have more tailwind leading to a challenging finish. Narrow landing areas, wind, and tactical shotmaking make this course demanding, featuring a tricky par-3 opening shot and a dogleg par-4 on hole 9. The club has a rich history since 1894 and was further shaped by J.H. Taylor in 1910. Ashburnham Golf Club has hosted events including the Welsh Women’s Open Strokeplay Championship 2025 and the Seniors Open Championship qualifiers in 2014 and 2017, alongside other major amateur tournaments and Home Internationals. Afterwards, the traditional clubhouse is a pleasant place to relax, with a lounge, bar, terrace, and restaurant overlooking holes 1 and 18.
