Brackenber Moor, CA16 6LP Appleby
Appleby Golf Club in Cumbria is an 18-hole inland links course designed by Willie Fernie. The course follows the natural contours of the landscape, cleverly using heather and bracken. Thanks to its sandstone location, the course drains well and remains playable year-round. Enjoy wide views of the North Pennines fells, The Howgills, and the Lake District Mountains during your round. The club features a large clubhouse with a dining room, bar, and TV lounge. A notable feature is the Bell Hole on the 15th, with Hilton Beck, out of bounds, and a hidden green. Appleby Golf Club has a long history dating back to 1894, with the current club founded in 1903 at Brackenber Moor. Since then, it has hosted several County Championship events.
