Spring and fall are generally the most comfortable periods for golf, although rain, thunderstorms and quick temperature changes can affect tee times. Summer rounds are often best started early, particularly in humid parts of the state, and winter play is more dependable in the south than in northern areas. For a multi-day trip or long weekend, choose a base near the Ozarks for scenic, terrain-led golf or near either major metro area for a wider mix of courses, varying course styles and straightforward flight connections.
