Discover golf courses across the different regions of Spain.
Spain’s golf landscape extends from Mediterranean resort corridors to Atlantic coasts, inland plateaus and island settings. The Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca offer a dense concentration of visitor-oriented facilities, while Catalonia, Murcia, Madrid, Andalusia’s Atlantic shore, the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands provide markedly different conditions. Many clubs operate year-round, but tee availability, maintenance schedules and visitor access vary by region and season. Spring and autumn are generally the most comfortable periods for golf across much of the mainland. Summer brings reliable dry weather to many coastal areas but can be intensely hot inland and in southern regions; early starts are sensible. Winters are mild in the south and on the islands, whereas northern and central areas can be cool, wet or frosty. Spain uses the euro, and the mainland follows Central European time, with the Canary Islands one hour behind. Hire cars are useful outside major cities, while coastal golf areas are commonly reached through Malaga, Alicante or Palma. Advance booking is particularly worthwhile around school holidays, Easter and popular winter-sun periods, when resort courses and island tee sheets can fill quickly.
