About this course:

Willingdon Golf Club is set in the South Downs near Eastbourne, in a natural amphitheater setting with views of the hills and the English Channel. The 18-hole course, designed by Alister MacKenzie, features rolling fairways, elevation changes, and clever routing giving each hole its own character. With a par of 69, six par 3s, three par 5s, and nine par 4s, the course demands precision and tactical play, while MacKenzie's signature two-tier greens, notably on holes 8, 9, 12, and 18, add extra challenge. Thanks to the chalk-based soil and strong drainage, the course is playable year-round. The club also offers a warm clubhouse with a bar and food from The Beach Kitchen, plus practice facilities including a putting green, short-game areas, practice nets, and an indoor launch monitor for lessons and club fittings.
