W. Warm Springs Rd. 2100, 89014 Henderson
Wildhorse Golf Club in Henderson is a municipally-owned 18-hole golf course established in 1959. The traditional par-70 course offers four tee options from 4,995 to 6,525 yards and plays relatively flat. In the early 1970s, it was a PGA Tour stop with the Sahara Invitational, and in 2004, Wildhorse was revitalized by Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley. The design combines pine and palm trees with desert influences and several water features, especially prominent on the front and back nines. The greens are large and moderately undulating, with challenging holes like the long par-3 4th and the tough par-4 9th. Training facilities include a natural turf driving range, chipping area, putting green, and bunker. The course is officially an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary.
