About this course:
Westport Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland course designed by Fred W. Hawtree in 1973, set in the shadow of Croagh Patrick above Clew Bay. Played from a raised position, the course stretches to 6,980 yards and includes five demanding par-5 holes, with inland and coastal influences shaping every round. Accuracy is rewarded throughout, with bunkers, out of bounds, and greens that feature clear slopes adding to the challenge.
The club also has a strong tournament pedigree, having hosted events such as the Irish Amateur Close Championship, the Smurfit Irish PGA Championship, the Irish Ladies Close, the Ladies Home Internationals, and the AIG Cups & Shields All-Ireland Finals. A 9-hole par 3 Pitch & Putt course is also set within the natural landscape of the main course.
