About this course:
West Cornwall Golf Club, founded in 1889, is Cornwall's oldest golf course. It sits high above St Ives Bay and the Hayle Estuary with a clear links character, featuring dunes and valleys that constantly affect play. A railway runs alongside the course, adding character. Playable year-round, it demands precise drives and smart approaches, especially on blind and uphill holes. The 18 holes are mainly par-3s and par-4s requiring accuracy. The area around 'the Triangle' – holes 5, 6, and 7 – is known for raised greens, bunkers, and subtle slopes. After the round, the clubhouse with restaurant and bar offers a pleasant place to relax, and the pro shop provides one-on-one and group coaching.
