Wanakah Country Club

Do you happen to know this?

Is this suggested description update correct: Wanakah Country Club is a historic golf course located on the shores of Lake Erie, just south of Buffalo. The 18 holes, designed by William “Willie” K. Watson, offer a lot of variety with both downhill and uphill moments, clear risk and reward choices, and greens considered among the best in Western New York. The course demands precision, especially with wind, bunkers, water, and out-of-bounds on multiple holes. After a complete renovation in 2017 by CW Golf Architecture, the course was modernly redesigned while retaining its character. Its origins as Wanakah Golf Club from 1899, the restart in 1913, and the accessible club tradition add extra history to the course. The clubhouse, with a shingled exterior and columned gallery, complements this nicely, while tennis courts and a swimming complex complete the club life.?
