About this course:
Trump Turnberry Resort's Ailsa Course is a dramatic 18-hole links on Scotland’s rugged west coast, stretching to 7,203 yards. Set above the Firth of Clyde with views toward Ailsa Craig and the Isle of Arran, it plays over steep slopes, coastal winds, and well-placed greenside bunkers. The result is a course that rewards precision, smart strategy, and careful shot-making, especially across its striking seaside holes.
Rich in history, the Ailsa has hosted The Open Championship four times, including the famous 1977 “Duel in the Sun” between Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson. The course was further transformed in 2025 by architect Martin Ebert. Golfers also benefit from a large pro shop and a Golf Academy with world-class practice facilities, modern technology, and PGA-certified instructors.
