LN10 6PU Woodhall Spa
The National Golf Centre in Woodhall Spa combines heathland golf with a clear competition focus in two 18-hole courses: the Hotchkin and the Bracken. The Hotchkin is located on sandy terrain north of the village and is known for its dramatic, natural bunkers and tactical play that rewards accuracy and concentration. The course has a long history, designed by Harry Vardon in 1903, revised by Harry Colt from 1911, and extensively renovated by Tom Doak, completed in 2019. The Bracken offers a parkland character on boulder clay, with woodland and open land providing wider fairways and smart tee shot choices. Especially on the par 5s, positioning and risk versus reward are key. As the home of England Golf, the centre also has a strong performance environment, with a 16-bay covered driving range with Toptracer, a short game area, and indoor swing analysis.
