The Chimneys Golf Course is an 18-hole course in a secluded natural setting, par 72 from 6,384 yards with five tee sets for various skill levels. The course features native rock accents around greens, fairways, and pedestal tees. Elevation changes, narrow landing zones, and strategic carries add variety, including a forced carry over a creek on hole 14. Opened in 2002 and later acquired by the City of Winder, it has a natural style with rock-faced bunkers like on hole 11. In 2024, greens were converted to ultra-dwarf Sunday Bermudagrass, focusing on sustainability with recycled water. With a course rating/slope of 71.1/123 and a casual, inclusive atmosphere, The Chimneys offers a challenging round in a distinctive setting.
