Tamarisk Country Club

Do you happen to know this?

Is this suggested description update correct: Tamarisk Country Club is an 18-hole golf course with a distinctive playing character, surrounded by wide fairways, tall palm trees, and a clear desert landscape. Firm bunkers and multiple water hazards define the scene from tee to green and demand precision, good distance control, and smart choices. Especially on the par-3s and par-4s, challenging green contours and strategically placed hazards play a major role, while several holes invite a thoughtful risk/reward approach. The club has a rich history: Ben Hogan helped shape the traditions as the first golf professional, and Ellsworth Vines became a legend in both golf and tennis. Tamarisk was also one of the clubs for the start of the Palm Springs Desert Classic, later known as the Bob Hope Desert Classic. For those who want to practice, there are professional lessons, personalized hitting sessions, and a ball machine, with a renovated clubhouse as a modern home base.?
