Talking Stick Golf Club is a 36-hole golf resort on tribal land, established in 1998 by the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. The two courses each have their own character, focusing on smart positioning and precise play in a desert environment. The O’odham Course, designed by Bill Coore & Ben Crenshaw, features a desert links style with wide, angular fairways, crowned greens, and subtle strategic nuances. The Piipaash Course, also by Coore and Crenshaw, offers a parkland-like contrast with eucalyptus and cottonwood trees along the holes, elevated greens and bunkers, and slopes that sharply test the ball. Both courses provide expansive views of the desert landscape and surrounding mountains.
