Tagalong Golf & Resort is an 18-hole course by Red Cedar Lake in Wisconsin's woods. It features elevated greens and deep grass bunkers, requiring precise play around greens. The old and new nines differ: the first nine have wide fairways and open roughs; the second nine is narrower, demanding more precision on approaches. The club dates back to the early 1920s, started by Frank Stout in 1916 as a 9-hole course, completed in 1922. At its 1925 opening, U.S. Open and British Open champions Willie Macfarlane and “Long Jim” Barnes played a celebratory match. Tagalong also offers a relaxed resort atmosphere with a clubhouse, restaurant, bar, lakeside bar, and pro shop.
