Southerness, DG2 8AZ Dumfries, Scotland
Southerness Golf Course on Scotland's Solway Coast offers a wide links landscape with a true championship character. Designed by MacKenzie Ross in 1947, this flat, walkable 18-hole course lets you focus fully on your game. From the championship tees, Southerness plays as a par 69 over 6,735 meters, featuring a challenging links profile demanding control and feel. The club has a notable history, with the local lighthouse as its emblem symbol. Southerness hosted the British One Armed Golf Championship in 1954 and the Scottish Amateur Championship in 1985 and 1995. The 1974 clubhouse overlooks the 18th green through large windows.
