About this course:
Shrewsbury Golf Club, founded in 1891, is located in the heart of Shropshire, just outside the county town. The course is a mature parkland with tree-lined fairways and fast greens. Subtle borrows add extra nuance to the play, while the course clearly has two faces: the front nine is relatively flat and lush, the back nine is hillier and offers beautiful views over the surrounding hills. With a par of 70 for men and 73 for women, this course appeals to golfers of all levels. Excellent drainage ensures play on regular tees and greens almost year-round. The club also features a good clubhouse and strong practice facilities, fitting for a club with a long history and a course that has been further developed over the years.
