Dollymount Ave, North Bull Island Nature Reserve, Dublin, D03 P768, Ierland
Royal Dublin Golf Club is a historic links course on North Bull Island, set within the Bull Island Nature Reserve just outside Dublin’s city centre. Reached by the iconic wooden bridge, it offers a traditional out-and-back layout with sweeping views over Dublin Bay. The course plays in classic links fashion, with testing wind, rough, undulating fairways and sand-hilled surroundings creating a demanding but rewarding round. Founded in 1885 and granted Royal status in 1891, the club carries a long championship tradition. Originally designed by H.S. Colt, the 18-hole course features a front nine of par 35 and a back nine of par 37, finishing with the memorable dog-leg 18th guarded by the out-of-bounds “Garden”. Irish Open and Irish Amateur Open history adds to its prestige.
