Rome Country Club is an 18-hole championship golf course in the Adirondack hills, designed by Geoffrey Cornish. Known for its rolling greens with fast, lively speed, it combines challenge with playability. From the back tees, the length exceeds 6,800 yards, while the middle tees offer a more manageable distance. This makes the course suitable for various skill levels, providing a clear but fair test in an attractive hilly setting. The club has a strong tournament tradition, including the New York State Women’s Amateurs in 1981 and 2011, USGA local qualifiers, the annual Rome City Men’s and Women’s Amateurs, and the New York and United States Speedgolf Opens. Additionally, there is a driving range and a short game facility, and the clubhouse features a bar and restaurant for a relaxed end to the round.
