About this course:
Rochdale Golf Course, part of Rochdale Golf Club, lies on the edge of the Pennines amid rolling fairways and countryside views. Founded in 1888, it features an 18-hole course established over a century ago on Bagslate Moor. The course demands precise play with narrow passages, trees, and out-of-bounds areas, while elevation changes and varied greens challenge approach shots and putting. The multi-tiered, well-protected green on hole 7 exemplifies this tactical nature. After a devastating fire, the club rebuilt its clubhouse in 2003 with excellent facilities and versatile event spaces. PGA Professional Andrew Laverty is available in the Pro Shop, offering lessons for all ages, and an indoor golf simulator provides extra practice opportunities. Rochdale is also active in competitions, including the Captains Final 2023.
