Prince's Golf Club is a 27-hole championship links course on the southeast coast near Sandwich, with three loops of nine holes: Shore, Dunes, and Himalayas, all par 36. The course plays in a characteristic coastal landscape with dunes and offers a true links experience, with depth in play and a challenging character. Since the 2017 redesign, Prince's has regained a strong international appeal, with Martin Ebert and Golf Architects involved in the renewal. The history of Prince's dates back to 1904, when the course was laid out by Charles Hutchings and Percy Montagu Lucas. Early on, major tournaments were held here, including the English Ladies Open in 1912 and 1922. Later, the Open Championship was also played here, with Gene Sarazen winning in 1932. More recently, Prince's remains an important tournament course.
