Portsalon Golf Club cover

About this course:

Portsalon Golf Club is a classic Donegal links on the wild Atlantic coast, set beneath the Knockalla Mountains along Ballymastocker Bay. Bold sand dunes, ocean air and the natural contours of the land shape a course where the wind is part of the challenge and thoughtful course management is rewarded. Designed by Charles Thompson of Portrush, the links plays with the landscape rather than against it, creating a memorable coastal round. Founded in 1891, the club also reflects a strong sense of tradition, while a major redevelopment in 2000, led by Pat Ruddy, helped shape the modern playing experience. Shared greens add another distinctive layer, echoing early links golf and demanding strategy as well as precision. After the round, the clubhouse bar and restaurant overlook Ballymastocker Bay and the 18th green.
