Ponderosa Country Club is an 18-hole par 72 golf course designed by Ed Riccoboni, opened in 1965. It spans 214 acres in a rural area with scenic views over Lexington and Saluda Counties. Measuring 6,820 yards from the longest tees with a course rating of 72.1, it offers a challenging yet playable Bermuda grass layout. The entire course was renovated in 2002, updating greens, fairways, and tee boxes. The club has a strong family atmosphere, featuring a clubhouse with restaurant and banquet facilities. Training amenities include a driving range, practice green, sand traps, and chipping area, with golf lessons available at the Pro Shop. Since 1965, Ponderosa has been a trusted destination for golfers of all handicaps and plays a role during Masters Week.
