About this course:
Orkney Golf Club sits on Wideford Hill's flank, offering panoramic views over Kirkwall and the Northern Isles. The well-maintained 18-hole course is challenging yet fair, measuring 5,407 yards from the white tees. Slightly shorter than many courses, precision is key with nine holes featuring out of bounds and frequent heavy rough and gorse. Straight shots keep the best rhythm and overview. Founded in 1889, the club expanded from nine to 18 holes. The clubhouse and history date back to the early 20th century. Orkney Golf Club has a strong community spirit and hosted the 2025 International Island Games Orkney.
