About this course:
Moyvalley Hotel & Golf Resort is a championship golf course in Kildare, designed by Darren Clarke with links golf principles in mind. It marked his first course design, and the layout offers four sets of tees, stretching from 5,658 yards to 7,370 yards from the blue tees. With risk-and-reward moments, tall fescue framing the holes, broad putting surfaces and greens with generous run-off areas, it asks golfers to think strategically while still remaining playable across a range of abilities.
Set within the grounds of the Balyna Estate, the course is framed by Balyna House, a striking 19th-century Italianate mansion. Moyvalley has also welcomed major events, including the Challenge Tour of Ireland in 2009 and the Irish PGA Championship in 2016 and 2017. A modern clubhouse, practice range and three USGA-specification practice greens add to the overall golf experience.
