Middlefield Golf Course in Cottage Grove, Oregon is an 18-hole regulation course along the Row River, designed by Gene Mason and built in 1991. The course evolved from an executive layout to a full, strategically designed golf course. Despite the relatively short playing distance, the design demands smart play, with wide fairways, thoughtful hazard placement, and beautiful holes along the water. The landscape with mature planting gives the course a calm, atmospheric appearance with a distinct Pacific Northwest character. The course maintenance receives much attention, including irrigation with treated effluent. For golfers, there is a Pro Shop with a snack bar and views of the 1st, 9th, and 18th greens. Middlefield Golf Course can be played both on foot and with a cart.
