Merchants of Edinburgh Golf Club is a historic par 65, 18-hole course in Morningside's hills, designed by Ben Sayers and redesigned by James Braid in 1936. It follows the natural contours of Easter and Wester Craiglockhart Hills, emphasizing smart play over length. Featuring seven challenging par 3s and rolling fairways and greens, it offers a strategic test for golfers of all levels. The location provides panoramic views of Edinburgh, including sights from the 10th tee to Edinburgh Castle and the Firth of Forth. After the round, the south-facing clubhouse, patio, The Brasserie, and Pentland Bar offer a pleasant finish.
