Market Drayton Golf Club, founded in 1906 near Market Drayton, Shropshire, features an 18-hole Par 71 parkland course since 1988. Originally a nine-hole course from 1926, it offers varied parkland and heathland terrain with elevation changes along Brownhill Wood and Salisbury Hill, requiring precision and smart play. Fairways provide scenic views of the surrounding landscape. Known for excellent drainage, it remains playable when other courses close. The club combines playability with a friendly culture, and its history includes Bert Gadd, winner of the 1933 French Open and 1937 Irish Open at Royal Portrush.
