Lockport Golf and Recreation Club is a private 9-hole course in Will County, set on bluffs overlooking the I&M Canal Corridor in a quiet wooded area. The course has evolved over 70+ years, featuring 2 par 5s, 3 challenging par 3s, and various par 4s with risk-reward moments. Doglegs, a notable tree on a short par-3, and well-placed bunkers demand accuracy. The greens are known to be demanding, and the routing gives each round a unique character. Over the years, improvements include an automatic irrigation system for greens and tees in 1969, later extended to fairways. Since 1983, further maintenance and course enhancements have been made, including a new hole and merging two consecutive par-3s into one.
