PA21 2BE Kames, GB
Kyles of Bute Golf Club is an 18-hole course on hilly moorland above Kames, offering wide views over the Kyles of Bute, Arran, and Loch Fyne. Designed by David Adams, it demands precise play over elevation changes, long carries through heather and whin, and sometimes blind shots. There are no bunkers, but burns, prickly rough, and watery hazards provide challenge in a landscape where wind and terrain play a big role. Founded in 1906 and opened in 1907, the club maintains its tradition with an annual match against Rothesay. With its informal, warm club atmosphere and characterful layout, it appeals especially to golfers who enjoy a challenging round in a beautiful coastal setting.
